How to prepare White Oats



Boil 800mls of water in a sufuria. Stir in 190g of proctor & Allan white oats/ oat flakes. Cook for 21/2 to 5 minutes while stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat. Cover the sufuria and let it stand for 5 minutes. Serve hot with sugar and milk or cream. You can serve porridge with other flavourings, syrup, fresh or preserved fruit, coconut, dates etc. ( this serves 4 people)


Proctor & Allan white oats/oat flakes makes soups creamier and more delicious. Make your soup as usual, then add 1 level tea spoon of oats for each cup of soup. Boil the mixture for 5 minutes or longer.

Oat health drink

Soak 130g of Proctor & Allan white oats/oat flakes in 350mls of water for several hours. Strain and add 4 to 8 tablespoonful of this liquid to a glass of water, milk or fruit juice. Add a flavouring of your choice ( vanilla, chocolate). Sweeten to taste.
